Speaking of birds. I went out the front door and the five baby birds mom stashed on my porch bench had created about a million droppings. The bench was covered! I got the hose out and then I put 2 beach towels on the bench and pinned sheets of foil over the towels. Peeked out the front door about an hour later and they were huddled on the edge of the arm rests, where there was no foil. Sigh. Iâm probably going to have to put the bench in the garage for a couple of weeks. Also: itâs supposed to be in the 90s all next week. I hate spring and summer!
From yesterdayâs comments, Gweedo itâs legal here Murray said, âNOT a solid guarantee but get the deer whistles on your front bumper and because of what you ârun intoâ in that countryside DOUBLE UP on the whistles. WalMart has them, where I got mine.â
I have a set of deer whistles, but there isnât much of a bumper on my Malibu, so I never put them on. And those raccoons are so stupid, they run in front of traffic all the time. I see more road killed raccoons than any other animal.
Iâm making progress on the car repairs and car rental. My insurance company called and approved the rental car. I need to set up an appointment with Enterprise when I can pick up the rental. They are supposed to call me. The insurance company will decide if my mechanic will be fixing my car or if they would rather send it to a body shop. There was no body damage, but if they want it to go to a body shop instead, they will arrange that. I hope theyâll let my mechanic do it. I have cat food in my trunk. I need to get that out of there before they move my car anywhere (if they choose to do so).
I donât listen to the radio (I think we only have a few stations here anyway) because I canât tolerate the endless yakking, â but I would tune into these 2 everyday if I could.
Very funny. Also very much in character for Jack and Chesney, or almost any cat, for that that matter, to not give a darn. (Well, maybe not Oliver. Actually, definitely not Oliver.) On another note, saw a dragonfly and three robins while out walking today.

âI donât really know the difference between a crow and a raven.â
Ravens are noticeably larger and have a croaky raspy sound to the crowâs clean âcaw cawâ.

Yeah, cats not caring about things (with the exception of food!) is pretty much standard operating procedure.
