Well my daughter and I were in my office late this afternoon…and there was water on the floor. ( grumble grumble). The roof guys are coming Monday to fix the Laundry Room, will direct them to the office too. If those lousy golfers would only keep their heads down…The office is where all the IKEA bookcases full of China pieces are, so at 4PM I had to unloadb3 bookcases full of plates bowls and vases. And find someplace to put 3 TALL bookcases. And the contents.
I’m glad that my cats like to sleep late. But they are free fed, so I don’t have to get up in the morning to feed them. And they get their canned food treat at bedtime rather than in the morning.
NATIONAL RED SOCK DAY. Wear your red socks on National Red Sock Day to help save a life and limb! Did you know leg health can indicate risk for heart attack, stroke, and amputation? One in five adults over the age of 60 have a condition called Peripheral Artery Disease (P.A.D.), and many don’t even know they have it. National Red Sock Day on the Third Saturday in February raises awareness about P.A.D., its risk factors, and what you can do.
SINGLES AWARENESS DAY
NATIONAL WISCONSIN DAY. My home state! It’s a beautiful state, and I love it, but right now, it’s too cold and there’s too much snow and I want it to be spring!
We ended up with 4 or 5 inches of snow yesterday. I’m glad the model that forecasted up to 11 inches was way off base. We’re supposed to get a little more snow today (an inch or two), then we go into the deep freeze with single-digit highs and below-zero low temperatures.
My cats are content to sleep until I wake up – of course it’s usually 4 am anyway. Lots of whining while I quickly start my coffee, then they spend one minute eating and go back to sleep.
If only my cat would wake me with a head but! Anywhere from 2:30 am to 4:00 am she will get up on my pillow and walk all over me. She usually eats when I go to work at 4am.That early morning clock seems to throw her a bit plus, she doesn’t do DLST. Her afternoon feeds at 3pm and 6 when we eat dinner, she is always right on time.
Man, talk about a rude awakening! Sometimes I think Daylight Savings Time should be called Daylight Waste of Time, as it doesn’t seem to do much good. On another note, saw three varied thrushes, a golden crowned kinglet, a deer, and seven chickadees while out walking today.

I must admit I’ve spent far more time in my life waking up cats than they me.

My cats are pretty well trained not to wake me up unless the house is on fire (which has never happened).

Cats are so funny. My cat would comb my hair early in the morning. Thanks for the sweet memory, GH!

Kiki is not a problem. Buddy is the one that wakes me up by licking my face. And nibbling on my nose.

Let’s hope an end is coming to Daylight Savings Time!!!!! Resetting a cat can be painful. (The video of doing it would be hilarious)
