Been there, bought the t-shirt. No, really, I have two. One I bought at the restaurant in Detroit and the other and better one I ordered from a Detroit company that sells such things.

Sadly they are now out of Business. Except for the fake one in Palm Springs. They once , surprisingly, had really good spaghetti.

I remember Big Boy being associated with Shoney’s Restaurants when I was a kid in Georgia and North Carolina. That was 50 years ago now though.

I remember a couple of places we’d go to as a family when I was a kid. A Chinese restaurant, another place that seemed fancy at the time.

But there was one place where I’d go with my dad, just a father son night out. They had burgers, but they were a little diner, not part of a chain. Loved the patty melt.
