Sounds like something I would think of; but I wouldn’t say it.

I have an uncle who just turned 97, and an aunt who is about to turn 94. My aunt still goes out and walks 4 miles a day.

If my old man were still alive, he would have turned 100 on the 14th.

Her dad’s younger than her mom? Hmm…

I always hate that question. I am only a couple years younger than the age my mother was when she passed away, and not much further from the age my father died. I half expect the nurse or doctor who asks to give me substandard care because based on family history I’ll be dead soon anyways.

I’m turning 65 soon – I have taken up walking for my health – but I have to admit, it’s boring and I don’t like it much.

Not sure what that has to do with medical history. But it’s good illustration of how her mind works.

The phrasing of the question isn’t really that ambiguous; common sense should tell her what the nurse is asking. She’s just being difficult.
