He has GOALS – raise in allowance – New Smart phone – get that little redhead girls phone number – sleep later Sat mornings. So much to ponder on…

Brutus looks like he getting one of his youth athletic stories ready.

I had a Principal who thought visions were better than goals. She had us submit statements each year of where we saw ourselves in a week… in a year… in five years and encouraged us to have our students do the same. Most students had trouble with the five year vision.

He’s going to be like his dad.

You mean like the lofty goals you’ve set for yourself.

To be a burden on society….

Unfortunately for Brutus, all he ever did was think about goals, but he was never able to achieve any of them.

Brutus did a great thing by encouraging his son to set goals. Setting goals and working toward achieving them, keep one motivated, and are what successful people do. More parents should do what Brutus is doing.
