I have no idea what is written in “Peter Pan” and the other fairy tales. In boarding school the Catholic nuns were too busy slapping us and, from middle school, I read more serious books.
Brutus walked right into that one. The best part is Wilberforce isn’t trying to be mean, he is just asking for additional information. In his childhood innocence however he doesn’t realize that his question could have been raised a bit differently.
I guess there won’t be any new Sunday Born Loser strips until sometime after 2022 begins – same for daily Born Loser strips – all due to the Born Loser cartoonist’s recovering from a second surgery. So I guess I can’t check again until a few days and/or weeks after the new year of 2022…
Outline – bah! Always thought they were so stupid and pointless, and still do. Every time I had one of those crazy teachers that insisted on an outline, I’d go ahead and write the paper…and then make up an outline based on it afterwards to keep the sadist happy. Based on my final grades, the sadist never knew the difference.
I certainly do not miss my school repots, nor do I miss my kids reports Now my wife beigin a former teacher loves this stuff and they give her all their reports and she go through the reports with them. They of course love it!
Ah, Brutus, you made my heart go pitter patter with that explanation. This is exactly how I used to prepare for all my papers, and it’s how, as a teacher, I used to suggest report preparation to my students.
Peter Pan is like a Childs viewpoint of the movie that was made from the book “Treasure Island”. My wife and I enjoyed watching it when we watched it on TV/VHS with our kids back in the 1960s.

It would be pointless to go any further.

Brutus, Wilberforce is writing a book report and not a review of the book for the New York Times!!

Brutus probably thinks Peter Pan whips up a mean batch of peanut butter.

I like the advice in the bottom left panel. That most of all probably explains why the teacher couldn’t understand Wilbur’s first book report.

Brutus old boy, Peter Pan did not invent peanut butter and he was not kin to Cupid, so Wiberforce cannot include that in his report…

Probably the same parts the teacher didn’t understand.

Brutus has the bad habit of saying things that leave him wide open for insults that are both intended and unintended.

That what education needs now in both public and private schools are nuns with paddles with holes in them.
