i don’t eat cookies, but i still accompany my wife to the supermarket – who knows which chocolates she might forget to buy…?
her heel is healing quite well, thanks for asking, and she’s able to drive and hobble around by herself now. at the home center the other day the friendly cashier saw that she was solo and deadpanned, “where’s the pack mule?”
If Brutus wants to be supportive, he can eat his cookies any where else, or just accept that she is right and they both should eat healthier. I assume there is no problem that would keep Brutus from buying his own cookies. I would also suggest he bake some with his son, but the smell of homemade cookies would not be kind to Gladys at this point.
Maybe I sound a bit active feminism by saying why does the man seem put out because his wife forgot the cookies at grocery shopping? Sheesh just jump in the car and get some. Maybe the grocery store is a long drive away, but you can get cookies at the corner convenience store. They are even open 24 hours a day. Back in my younger days when I smoked ciggies it was called the smoke shop. Naturally they also carried candies and chips and cookies for the kiddies because you might have had to bring the kid along in the car. My gawd nowadays you can even get them at the little shop at the gasoline filling station.

What Gladys really means is, “if I bought them, I’d eat them, and the hell with Brutus”.

Gladys is right. He needs to support her, and he’ll lose weight, too!

Brutus wants to support your diet by eating the cookies himself.

Just get in a car Brutus, drive to your nearest grocer and buy a case of your favorite cookies!! Then, let the jocularity – begin!!!

I always support my wife when she’s on a diet. Eating the treats before she can get to them is the sacrifice I make because I love my wife. ;-)

Shhh! Don’t tell Brutus she bought some cookies and ate them all herself. Being the loving wife Gladys is, she was only looking out for his weight. ;)

Hey, Brutus, ole boy, but you’ve got reason up front to cut back on cookies, too. I’m speaking from experience, here.

Click yes to accept cookies.

I know how Brutus feels when I was wondering why the bag of potato chips was in the garbage can.

But when they go out to dinner, she will “taste” half of everything on his plate.

I would remove the temptations from you by eating all the cookies first so that you wouldn’t suffer, because l AM the good husband…

Ah Brutus, at least stand up straight, and suck in your tummy, when you say that.
heathcliff2 almost 3 years ago
She knew she could not resist them especially during a diet. She also knew you would not want to fight for them.
