That kind of explains why Lloyd Bridges only managed a 3 year run of “Sea Hunt.” Great program – but once you’re in the water, the options are kind of limited… unless you create a world of talking sponges and fish. Nah, never mind. That’s a stupid idea.
What makes AM worse is that, in his first incarnation anyway, he got his powers thru training. It’s one thing to be an underwater superhero if you happened to have such powers already; it’s another to set out to become one.
With 2 huge masses of trash, mostly plastic particles floating around in two of our major seas, killing millions of sea creatures, I’d say that’s a crime. Along with the regular oil spills due to the lack of safety measures that big oil does not want to pay for. The list goes on and on and on. There really is a lot of crime taking place daily, and it’s too bad we don’t have Aquaman.
I dunno…I used to be a crimefighter in this nice little town, but someone told me that ‘crime sleeps with the fishes’. That’s how I found my calling, I guess.

If he’s close enough to New Jersey, I bet he could find a lot of crime victims…. all wearing cement shoes.

I seem to recall that James Bond had a few cases to save the world from under the water.
