Worse than rummaging in purse or wallet for a printed coupon is trying to find an online or email coupon in their cellphone. First they can’t make the internet connection. Then they can’t remember if it was on a website or in their email. Then they decide it was in email and scroll down and down and open one email after another looking for the coupon. And then they finally find it and it’s three days expired. And they get exasperated with the cashier who can’t honor their coupon.
This is a symptom of our fast paced, in a hurry to gain what doesn’t matter. At one time, it was considered a good thing to be on a friendship basis with the clerks and sales people. Now, we want it now and forget about caring for others.
