The Buckets by Greg Cravens for July 30, 2013
Transcript:
I prefer seeing movies in movie theaters. Why? People talk over the movie. The theaters are crowded, the floors are nasty... But all that stuff is true here. At least in the theater, I don't have to make the popcorn, and nobody stops the whole darn film for a potty break. Ring Oops, phone! Pause it again.

Home’s still better. Nowadays, you can wait six months after the premiere of the film and get the DVD for the same price (and sometimes less) as the ticket. And if you like the film, you can watch it as many times as you want for no additional cost and if you don’t, you can trade it in at a used DVD place for a credit.

The last movie I saw in a theater was The Godfather (Part one). They can make their $Billions$ on popcorn off someone else.

We never get popcorn when we go to the movies, my 12 year old daughter is the only one who really asks for it. I usually get her some to pop at home or a little dollar bag from Target.

I don’t go to the movies… I’m not much of a film watcher but I would prefer to watch them for free in my own home.

Still trying to get together with a friend to see WWZ (World War Z also known as Plan B). .Yes, I get the big popcorn at the theatre. I season it well with the chili peppers in the shaker. After the movie – I get a free refill. So lots of popcorn for snack at home. .The chairs in the theatres are a lot more comfortable than when we were kids. Got stuck sitting way, way down in front for Star Trek – Into Darkness. Thank goodness for the high neck rests!
