The Buckets by Greg Cravens for August 18, 2013

Do you really remember living before TV? Sort of. I mean people had televisions and we finally got one, but we spent a lot of time at my grandparents without a television. What did you do? Oh, y'know... Told stories, passed along news and gossip, played board games... Card games, and the kids played kick the can or cowboys and Indians. Some hotter nights, we all sat on the porch and played music and sang. That's how I learned harmonica. I guess that was pretty cool. It sure seems so now, but I recall a lot of complaining.
When I was a kid, everybody had color TV but us.
