Depending on the cheap brands like Maruchan or Nissin, they sell here in NY for 4 or 5 for a dollar.The premium brand, (which most college students cannot afford) is $1.99 or $1.43 at wall mart.I ate so much of that crap when I was young I still cannot eat it today.Tastes like poverty, bleeeccch!
Of course, back then that 10 cents was 90% silver.
Most people think of inflation as rising prices. Actually that’s just the effect of the real inflation: debasing of the money supply. Who does that? The government that prints the money. Why do that? Because raising taxes is unpopular, borrowing requires eventual payback, but issuing unbacked money silently steals from the public which generally accepts this as the way things are. But they don’t have to be.
