We had one doctor who did this all the time. I finally had a discussion with him, and told him I was going to have to change doctors because of the long wait every appointment. I don’t know what they did, but I haven’t had to wait more than 15 minutes since. Maybe the Dr didn’t know what his office staff was doing and bringing it to his attention was all it took.
Say what they will about Medicare, the only time I’ve had to wait very long in the last two years has been for a flu shot. “Just walk in” and wait behind 35 other people.
I always try to make the appointments for as early in the day as I can. I once told a nurse that, not only was that because of wait times, but because the doctor/dentist/whatever would be fresh and not as likely to make mistakes early in the day. I can only remember one case where I had to wait for an extended time (about 45 minutes).

done that before, showed up late on purpose. Now if you find a place that can stick to the schedule, treat them like gold.

I’m surprised she didn’t cancel his appointment and still charge him.

THIS is why I go to a walk-in clinic. If I have to wait anyway, at least then it’s me that’s causing them to fall behind “schedule.” LOL
