Two more weeks and my wife’s commute goes from over an hour to about ten minutes. Moving is a pain, but the ‘new’ house is fantastic. I’ll be shuttling back and forth with van-loads of stuff for the another month.
What I found amusing was when you answer the phone and the person on the other end is surprised someone answered. My preferred response would be the say OK and hang up. Since I did not own the place I had to politely ask them how I could help them.
For several years I found work to be an escape from home. Now, I’m retired, and find grocery shopping the best escape. On the other hand, I have much less to escape from.

I preferred those days, I got more work done with fewer interruptions.
