I could never run. When I played sports I doubled over panting after each dash. I walked miles, typically about 4mph, but was quickly winded by running (and swimming).
I remember back when, when the general public started running outside for fitness. It struck me as strange that just a short time before if you saw someone running you immediately thought they were a robber trying to get away. Same with masks (relating to COVID). When did you ever think you’d see people walking into a bank with a mask on and not getting arrested?

Odd that, as a kid I ran everywhere, barefoot.. now, I can’t even walk fast and I can find a grain of sand in the carpet.

never take being able to easily and thoughtlessly cross a room for granted.

I was the second-fastest foot racer down at Wave Crest. The fastest died two years ago, “unexpectedly”, at his desk. Sad. :-(
