Count on Irish coffee to give a person Dutch courage.
I wouldn’t worry about ‘popping the big question’, probably something dumb!!
He probably wanted to ask if they could go Dutch.
the big question here is … who’s paying
From an old song. I suspect I heard the Bing Crosby version as a child. It could have waited until St. Patrick’s Day.

“Does Your Chewing Gum Lose Its Flavor on the Bedpost Overnight?”
Ah! One of the all time love songs!
“I’m So Miserable without You It’s like You’re Still Here” is one of my favorite love songs.
Bingo. She must be intuitive.
My big question is, what kind of flower is that suppose to be on the table
I was just listening to this a week or so ago. It’s a music hall song from the 1890s making fun of the Irish.
Lars didn’t do it. He was with me at the time. Honest!
That would indeed be a big question.
Or Harry the Hipster’s immortal “Who Put the Benzedrine in Mrs. Murphy’s Ovaltine?” It’s on YouTube if you haven’t heard it.
Is that a flower, or a small back scratcher, on the table?
