    I’m in Denver. Would it take longer? Also, would you fall slower when you got near the center, since the body causing gravity would be above you, or stop since it’s half-and-half above and below?

    I’m skeptical.

    Assuming that earth’s radius is 6371 kilometers (6,371,000 meters), and there is no air (causing friction), if a hole is made from the earth’s surface to the center, the time to get to the center from the surface is t = (2h/g), or t – √(2*6,371,000meters)/9.8meters/second) = 1,140 seconds = 19 minutes. However, even if a hole were cut to the center, it would probably have air (friction). Also, g (gravity) would not be a constant value. It would become less and practically go to zero as it reaches the center, assuming gravity is caused by the ENTIRE mass of the earth.
