All of our dogs slept in our beds, Mr. Bo Jangles (hubby’s dog) the cat took over the couch in the living room. They loved it. Especially laying on hubby. As I brought my bed from my house and it wasn’t big enough for all. When we moved and sold the bed and got a bigger one for the next apartment….Queen size, Mr. Bo slept there with us. The cats preferred the couch and chairs instead.
My cat “Jag” thinks I’m stupid… As I enter my office, there’s a soft thump and she’s under my desk and my seat-cushion is still warm… She still can’t figure out how I know that she’s been sleeping in my chair…
I purposely bought a lower bed (with captains drawers to facilitate the unused space underneath) so my Turbo could actually get on the bed. When he got older I placed a box nearby for him to step up easier…
Our bed is too high for the dog to even attempt, but he does like to sleep in Hubby’s recliner. Sometimes, if Hubby is in the chair, Blazer will wage a war of attrition, walking back and forth and bumping into Hubby’s feet or the foot rest. Sometimes the dog even wins.
Actually, sometimes I do – when my big dog is laying on his giant pillow – just to tease him. He usually moves away or gets up and goes to another part of the room (Or it could just be my fish breath…)
I consider one of my dogs a bed warmer. I get up, she lays down where I had been, I come back to bed, she moves, and it is nice and toasty – even warmer than it had been, as dogs body temps are higher than humans.

Love it when I sleep late and my dog decides to curl up on my feet. And she doesn’t mind the snoring and flatulence.

My cats have their specific places on my bed: Sweeney Todd on my pillow & Yellow on my legs…..They NEVER swap places.

I think it depends on which scent she’ll leave on your bed, no? Think about that.

Dogs do that cause it smells like their people.

Morning dilemma, you want to make the bed, your dog doesn’t want to wake up.

Looks like he is “marking his territory” on the bedside cabinet!

I’m going to assume the last scene is getting off the bed and not raising a leg at the nightstand (though it would be an obivious protest move)
