What Roast, I didn’t see any Roast.

When there is only Koko around does the disappearance of a Roast make any noise? Nope. Yip yip yip yip yip

If I leave anything where my dogs can get it—oh well—this is the way!

An attorney who is a partner at the law firm my wife works for has one of the local CASA dogs. She’s quite the little food thief. The dog has pretty much run of the place and my wife had a snack on her desk and the dog ate it. Another time, there was a box of 2 dozen donuts on the break room counter. The box was pushed to the back of the counter. The dog managed to get the box off the counter and ate the whole box of donuts.

In the Fred Basset comic strip, which is almost 60 years old, his owners continue to leave sausage rolls on their counter. : )

A friend leaving for the holidays gave me, among other things, a plastic grocery bag with foil-wrapped baked potatoes. I guess I left it where the dogs could reach. Somebody (or 2 or 3 doggybodies) took potato out one at a time, unwrapped the foil, and ate baked potato. Not all of them. After frying one I moved the bag with the rest. Yep, I found more pieces of foil on the floor. Having been trained I did eventually get my share of the potatos. Who would have thought a dog would go to that much trouble for potato?

when i was invited to xmas dinner at my cat crazy friends’ house – they had 60 or so cats, much to their neighbors’ delight – i was wishing the cats had eaten the guacamole dip rather than just leaving their fur all over it…

Nice switch on this classic cartoon trope.

They’ll still have the vegetables and gravy. Probably better for them, anyway.. :D
