Correct me if I’m wrong but I think a gender neutral pronoun is proper in this context. So It should be – kLk kLAHkk KLLkL ‘KKWKL’ KawLk But then many alien fonts make it confusing.
One time many moons ago my family visited friends in NJ who had a home by the shore. I was probably 7 or 8 at the time and we were from the mountains – so it was all very magical to little me.
One evening we all went clamming (or searching for something, anyway…as I said it was long ago) in a tidal pool area right at sunset and it was wonderful and unique and peaceful and just so darn much fun.
All of that was just evoked so beautifully in my mind by this artwork. Never have I been so transported back in time and space to an experience I had forgotten just by seeing a comic strip on a screen. Thank you, Mr. Henry.
A couple of very early mornings ago (actually 4 am) I got up to use the bathroom and saw (as I expected) the constellation Orion rising out of the Atlantic. When it rises in the early evening I know winter is here. That made me wonder what constellation our sun is in, and what season that constellation signals when it’s rising.

Looks remarkably like “the monster that challenged the world”. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Monster_That_Challenged_the_World

Never count your clams before they hatch. Never put all your clams in one bucket. This alien feels clammy.

This strip always leaves me smiling. Drawn great and with such good intentions. I can only imagine how beautiful the Sunset would be.

What woke the seagull up? Was it talk about aliens, or going clamming?

If someone has to negotiate for us I hope it’s Wallace. But please keep Amelia at home, you know how she feels about tourists.

Green Mountains, Vermont, peak foliage season. Llama treking. Or Ponce Inlet Park, Florida, March.

Has anyone asked the clams for their opinion?

And then the creature takes one look at the lobster traps and says, “what have you done to my brother?” and that’s that.
