Wallace here reminds me of this one show camp camp. There was one episode where they stowed away in a camp councilers car to go into the nearest town. But one of the characters Niki is so a custom to being in the woods she like goes insane from not being in it. I could see Wallace doing that (don’t look at camp camp unless your okay with very not family friendly stuff)
It’s the shoes. Let Wallace smuggle in some grass, and take off his shoes to put it between his toes, and he’ll be fine. Like a nicotine patch, but environmentally-friendly.
My son, when he was in middle school, tried to get lunch detention. If you were late for class three times, you got lunch detention. Instead of eating lunch in the noisy, smelly, hot cafeteria, then having to go outside; you would take your lunch to the library, eat in silence, then read. He loved it. He would stand outside of his math class door (the class directly before lunch) wait for the bell to ring; then go inside. I was able to convince the powers that be, just to let him eat lunch in the library when he was doing what the teachers wanted him to do.

Wallace wouldn’t last long in “the cooler”.

Free spirits will not be contained. Wallace’s teacher better retire before The Feral One gets in school!

I’m surprised she didn’t separate those boys. She must know by now they’re best buds.

Can you work on your homework during detention? If so, it’s a win for Spud!

Next thing you know, Spud is listening to NPR’s Morning Edition on his cellphone.

Peaceful, yes, but I see no sign yet of the requested existential paragraph.

The place is relaxing, Amelia is a regular guest, I think Spud might love being there every day.
