It’s ever too cold until it hits the swimsuit area.

Will there be a wake for Wallace’s wellingtons?

That’s what his mom asks…how many shoes will he lose this week? She knows the traditional throwing of his shoes in the ocean when summer starts….and so many throughout the year.

I guess Wallace survived yesterday’s epic backflip.

Ya gotta watch out for those shoe eating waves!

What’s the point of keeping your shoes to throw them away if you’re only going to lose them first?

it is March, the Bay has to be cold

I can picture sitting on the sand, listening intently to the sounds of the waves as they come & go. Ya gotta get the right letters in a row to truly share the sound of it. & you can call that “work”, Mr. Henry! Excellent job!

They have tethers to keep mittens attached to sleeves. Lose enough shoes and his mom will buy tethers to keep his boots attached to his pants.

Ah yes. Reminds me of my lifeguarding days on old Cape Cod. We used to watch the tourists set up their towels and all their gear on the beach at low tide. Then we’d wait for the tide to come in and the rogue wave to come up the beach and soak everything. The mad scramble was always great fun to watch.

It looks like Wallace’s boots have been washed out to sea.

It’s Maine. It’s just plain cold.

So “Chsssss” is the opposite of “Schoooosh!” Always wondered…

Depends on Mom and Dad kiddo……

Those surprise waves get you everytime, no matter how you prepare. :-)

Schoooosh and Chsssss are exactly how waves sound coming in and going out. Perfect!!!

I’ve heard of sneaker waves, but not wellie waves…

Reminds me of when I took my St. Bernard to Newburyport Beach. The first time she saw the ocean, and my 130-pound water baby took off and dragged me hip-deep into the April Atlantic. She came scampering up the beach, did a quick shake, and was dry while I stood there waiting for my pants to drain.
