Ah, Rodney is a true romantic.
No horsing around, I really would
If you do, try to miss the Fink’s rose bushes.
Kiss her, you fool! Just remember to turn your head sideways so as not to bonk her with your schnoz.
Who said romance is dead?
How desperate can she be?
Rod’s reaction to war is RUN!! His reaction to her move to make love is d-u-u-h HMM??
How unbecoming of a Princess to beg! His steed comes befor you….aaaakk!
Now I taught the weeping willow how to cry, cry, cry
And I showed the clouds how to cover up a clear blue sky
And the tears that I cried for that woman are gonna flood you, big river
And I’m gonna sit right here until I die

the eternal triangle – a man a woman and a horse
Uh, Rod…. there is a way to PREVENT her from falling on your horse.
I have several issues with this strip. #1- She only presents two choices in panel 1. #2- Rod does not take her in his arms and kiss her in panel 2. #3- She seems positive about jumping onto his steed in panel 3.
If she throws herself off: he’ll be alone again. (Well: except for his steed.)
Maybe she should be like Nell and go for the horse (the horses are more intelligent).
And I thought they were both just being poetically over the top.
