It is entirely possible that he decided he wanted someone to talk to other than the guard … or else the guard got tired of listening to him and he decided if he didn’t talk to something, he would go nuts.
No - Spook is dreaming this obviously - you can see sky through the bars of his cell, while he is REALLY down below ground in the deepest dungeon.
Seems like he got a therapist for a bargain price.
