Actually, they have three different names. when they are flying through space, they are meteoroids. When they enter an atmosphere and start burning (become visible), they are meteors. when they hit the earth and stop moving, they are meteorites.

Was that Asteroid 2021 UA1 or The asteroid, called 4660 Nereus, the one shaped like an egg, maybe 99942 Apophis, or something they missed or did not see coming?
