Expected to see some remarks about Chrome, or even Edge … If you Mac guys are out there, what do you think of Safari? Or is that not the current browser on Macs?
One sees all sorts of bad stuff about IE. Perhaps all of it is true. But I have at least one program on my computer (my electronic banking) that guarantees correct operation only if used with IE
I still have IE on my computer, but use mostly Chrome. Sometimes the Chrome just won’t work for some websites, so I will try the IE and it always works. I am glad to still have it.
Firefox works more often for me than either Chrome or especially IE. At work, IE is the basis for most of our agency built applications but it is not supported, so we have to use either Chrome or Firefox. Isn’t that crazy? When we launch an application from our intranet, we automatically use IE. So now I have had to create hotbuttons on my bookmarks bar in Firefox to make sure my work related applications work correctly.
Internet Explorer lost me the day I got a, “Certificate out-of-date or missing” message on it while I was on a “Microsoft” web site – shut IE and went to Chrome and haven’t looked back!
Everything has its place (except Edge). I use a combination of SeaMonkey (Mozilla), Firefox, Waterfox (allows extensions Firefox blocks), Chrome, and even Opera.
IE will usually open something for you if Edge won’t. If you’re using Edge, press the … on the upper right of your PC screen, you’ll see a list of options. Mine says “open with IE” so it’s easy to do.

There is a reason that for decades most of the security updates put out by Microsoft were for IE.

Even though brother put Chrome on my computer, still prefer Mozilla.

Personally, I prefer Firefox. Chrome isn’t bad, but both are a lot better than Edge, in my opinion.

IE is better than Edge, anyway.
