I’ve never been to Pensacola, but it’s almost time to sing:

“Deck us all with Boston Charlie,

    Walla Walla Wash., and Kalamazoo!

    Nora’s freezing on the trolley,

    Swaller dollar, cauliflower, alleygaroo!

    Don’t we know archaic barrel.

    Lullaby, Lila boy, Louisville Lou.

    Trolly Molly don’t love Harold.

    Boola Boola, Pensacola, Hullabaloo.”

I read Walt Kelly took flack from churches for corrupting the original, which isn’t really a Christmas hymn.

Kinda surprised there actually isn’t a soft drink named Pensa Cola.

Living here in the Pensacola, FL area, I have looked all over in every store, looking for “Pensa Cola”, but have yet to find any!

Reminds me of an old boss who had five of us working on a project, pronto, and upon receiving it our supervisor said that when the boss got the reports, he glanced at it and said, “oh, that’s what it is”, and then toss it to the side. one of us noted that it was good that our state had a three days waiting period before our gun purchase could be completed (this was back in the 80’s).

I used to joke that nothing ever got completed where I worked because something more important always came along.

I thought Jay was going to say “And that’s why I was a suspect on ‘The First 48”.
