As an RN, I worked every Christmas or Christmas Eve for 45 years (we alternated from year to year, same with New Year’s Eve and Day) and very seldom encountered a boss.
I did that for one particular boss but he was cool which is why I did it, when I finished my part he kicked me out and said Thanks now hurry home and Merry Christmas. He stayed another hour to do the books so he didn’t have to come back so early the day after Christmas.
