Funny how the governments deemed liquor stores and pot shops essential businesses. Couldn’t have been because of the massive tax income from those could it? Nah. That’s just silly talk.
Hmm, from where I sit, they should have been able to pound down a handle of Seagrams 7 after the day (and morning and evening and night) drinking associated with the lockdown.
Can confirm. 2-3 beers a day (at about 400 calories apiece) means my alcohol tolerance is now that of a frat boy, and the resulting beer belly has given me the appearance of a fat boy.
Both a friend who was a bartender, and I, did not drink at home (alone) during the lock downs. You have to be very careful when your “out of practice”. Age has to do with it, not to mention you’re liable to have more prescriptions to work around.

Wait. One bottle of rose took out five people?! Was it a jeroboam?

If anything, lockdown boosted it enormously.
Liquor stores as an essential service, and being stuck at home with nothing else to do?

Nope, more like it would take 5 bottles to take one person down (maybe). Do you know what people have been doing during lockdown? DRINKING!

I’m afraid my alcohol tolerance is rather low. The good news is that I’m a cheap (and easy) date!

??? If anything, Lockdown increased tolerance given that there was nothing to do but drink.
