Resist the urge to chuck said screens into the campfire, they all have lithium ion batteries and they aren’t meant to be burned. That doesn’t stop them from self igniting, but it’s not a safe thing to do.
Last time I was in the grocery store, I noticed a girl of not more than 5 years old. She was bent over on her tablet with her face glued to the screen. She never flinched or looked up—she was immobile. She never looked at the colorful array of veggies and fruits or inhaled their aromas. We managed to be in the same aisles throughout and that child never moved. She never interacted with other children or folks in the store—she was anti-social. She is going to grow up with, social, vision and body structure problems because she NEVER looked up from the screen and she never moved. I was dumbfounded. How can parents allow this to happen?
Can’t wait until they need to recharge their devices. Where I work, I am the only person who doesn’t need to charge their phone for six of eight hours.

How can the fire make a glare on screens turned away from it?

“Then go away from the fire. I’m going to enjoy it with or without you.”

Hopefully, the whiter light of the screens will draw all the blood sucking bugs away from the fire. :-)

Perhaps it’s now time for an experiment:
What will happen when their screens are put in the fire?

Stupid phones. They do come in handy when emergencies arise when you’re out ang about but that’s it. Staring into them all the time isn’t good.

Make them a little ring away from the fire, and maybe you’ll get lucky and the bears will eat them.

Then go sit away from the fire and let the frost covering you keep you warm.
