NEVER GIVE IN
NEVER
NEVER
NEVER
In nothing great or small, large or petty,
Never give in, except to convictions of honour and good sense.
Never yield to a force.
Never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.

He came a long way from a whinny child.Overcame his failure underestimating Gallipoli.Churchill learned from his mistakes.A quote I heard once.If you never try you will never make mistakes. If you do make mistakes at least you are trying.

Reminds me of the final battle of the War of 1812: New Orleans. Andrew Jackson was extremely outnumbered by the British. He decimated them. Yup, crushed trained British regular army soldiers with some American regular Army, local militia, and any other person he could get a hold of to fight despite the fact that the majority of them were untrained. He drilled them quickly. All of them would follow him into hell. They all stood firm in battle, even the local criminals he drafted. The British didn’t know what hit them. Those upstart Americans should have surrendered.
Yeah, right. We don’t quit.
