Why would I entrust my money to a stockbroker to loose it when I’m quite capable of doing it myself?

This is reason they are called brokers. If they made you money, they would be called richers.

I recall years ago there was a test done where they hired a broker to buy stocks for ’em, and they also threw darts at a board with a random list of stocks… guess which one did better?! Lol!
