Katy: And it's always so hot outside! Laura: Come on, you two. Let's go enjoy this for what it is. Adam: Thank you! Thank you very much! Laura: Rest in peace, Elvis.

The King has left the building. I’m all shook up!

At least it’s a tribute, and not somebody saying he’s still alive.

The strange thing is as I was logging in I was thinking it’s THAT day again and wondering if anyone would mention it. With luck Trapper we’ll have to wait 32 years for the Jackson ‘memorial’…and with luck we’ll all be dead! LOL

I agree Trapper John.

I’ve had enough of this. This has gone from my favorite strip to the absolute bottom of the barrel. Bassett should have just hung it up rather than pass it on. Then maybe we could get Classic Adam.
I’m killing my link to this now.

I love how much BC13 comes here and tells us she hates the new Adam.
I don’t like this cake, so I’m only gonna have one more piece.
Live up to your word and quit BC13, instead of making these idle threats. Go read BC which IMHO blows donkey since hart died.

“BC” was good a long time ago, but even well before Hart died it had degenerated into “My town was so small that…” jokes, Wiley’s dictionary jokes, and Religious Right blabber. Count me as one who think that strip has improved following the regime change.
I don’t miss the old Adam for the writing, which I have to admit had gotten really stale. But I preferred Old Adam to Red and Rover, which I stopped reading once I figured Bassett was more interested in cuteness and nostalgia than humor.
The shift in artwork once the “Big Top” guy came on was jarring, but at least this strip has jokes from time to time again. (Note: I liked the art on “Big Top”, but I think what worked well there works less well here. )
By the way, when is the new guy going to get some credit on the strip? Over on comics.com, they’re crediting “Rose is Rose” as “by Don Wimmer; created by Pat Brady.”

Adam’s voice…not so much like Elvis, more like Hound Dog.

Heaven forbid, a comic should have humor in it! Oh geez, what is the world coming to!

That’s a high praise you’re giving yourself, intheyear2525. Wow! You can understand jokes even a 10 year old can! Your folks must be so proud!

the tribute, like most “tributes”, seems lame to me. but who am i to stomp on people’s memories and memorials. bc13, i’ll see you on other strips we both read, i’m sure. if you’ve stopped enjoying this one, it’s better that you just leave (as i have on strips i stopped liking) rather than continue to make comments which may spoil the enjoyment of others. and if MJ gets memorialized in the same kind of crass, commercial way that Elvis has been, so be it!

Look, Tink told you yesterday, I’M telling you today: It was Brain’s Bassett’s decision to let Rob Harrell do “Adam@Home” so he (Bassett) can concentrate more on “Red & Rover” a strip about a boy who can read his dog’s mind. It’s set in a more simpler time (the 1960’s) then the time we’re all accustomed to now. So as like my little baby cousin told you BC13 yesterday and the others today: GET OVER IT!! HE’S NOT GOING TO DO A@H AGAIN!! Rob Harrell is doing a d a r n good job on A@H in Bassett’s departure and us (Josh1360 and Tink1300) and other members of the 1360 family are fine with it.

Good grief, what a negative comment section today. I for one think this is a great strip, and this is one of my favorites!

Hey, did anybody else notice that Red & Rover had “theme week” this week? (It’s so hot…) Just wonderin’.

if you don’t like this strip , QUIT COMING HERE and changing your name and posting the same negative thoughts several times a day. just move on some of us like this link

No, we have separate accounts! Josh has his and I have mine! Josh cousin, if you’re reading this, I think it be best if you try not to let these creatures elevate your blood pressure, OK? I’ll take from here. You have a successful job now. Don’t let it come this. Go on with your life and career.

Today’s comic certainly didn’t seem all that great to me, but in general, I’ve enjoyed most of these new ones. They are fresh and more alive.
Ushindi over 15 years ago
Strange comments - I like “Adam At Home”, so it’s on my list. I don’t really care for “The Elderberries” so it’s not on my list. In fact, I don’t even go to the Elderberries to comment on how much I don’t like it, if you can believe that. It eliminates a lot of stress and makes life much simpler that way.
PS: Ji2m, I recall seeing that comment by “Tink 1300” - you have a definite point if it’s now under “Josh”. More “strange”.

Hi Josh and Tink! Good too see you stick up for Harrel. don’t get angy over it though. It’s not worth it!
Live and let live.

Ushindi and Ji2m, it’s interesting that others have noticed the more than passing resemblance between the alter egos….

It’s just a lovable tribute to Elvis. I think it’s great that he remembers him. Didn’t much care for “the king” but it’s great that Adam does.
