Years ago, there was a strip in “For Better or For Worse”, showing Michael and Elizabeth fighting for seemingly no reason at all. Elly’s excuse? “It’s February.”
Was in Tahiti once, between L.A., and Sydney. Was so jet lagged I can’t remember much about it, except that it was warm, and our hotel employees were on strike about something.
February is the shortest month, so be glad? Personally, I love the autumn and winter… I loath the heat! Anyway, Eliot wrote that April is the cruelest month…
This is my wife personified. She loves a nice snow storm, but hates the cold, the early darkness, and the basic concept of winter. Not sure about Tahiti, but for four-plus months a year she would love to be “elsewhere.”
I used to ask that question all the time while growing up in MUSHigan. Fortunately I finally did something about it and move to Arizona. Life is too short to waste freezing one’s butt off in snow and ice and everything not nice.
I’m with Katie on this one. I love spring and fall. I enjoy the first few snowstorms of the year, too. But I’m not sure any of them make up for the cold and short, grey days of February.

Adam and Laura are FAR too tolerant of that kid and her big mouth!

Would be boring living a warm climate all the time, at least to me.

And if they lived in Tahiti she’d be complaining about the heat, humidity and the mosquitoes.

Check out the video on Rideau Canal Skateway, and you’ll want to move further north.

I’m beginning to feel the same as Katy. The cats wouldn’t let me sleep that long, however.
