I’m with Agnes – Where do they get some teachers nowadays? I have had a couple of friendly discussions with the grandkid’s teachers (really) and can’t believe the ignorance of the ‘real’ world some have AND the frustration of those who really care but aren’t allowed to ‘teach’ but only babysit. Very sad for public education – two of the kiddos are in private school now because they didn’t have “bad” teachers but administrators that refused to allow the teachers to teach. And no it wasn’t because of lack of funding. It was because of a system top-heavy with sheepskins but no common sense in teaching. js
