In a more just universe, the genius of Agnes would be recognized and treasured.

Maquette: A usually small model of an intended work, such as a sculpture or piece of architecture.

One of those words I’ve had to look up every time I’ve seen it.

Let’s face it—Agnes just doesn’t fit into that boring school routine.

Just goes to show the state of public education in the US!!

I wonder if it’s different in other countries.

Creativity, and a great vocabulary, like that should be nurtured and celebrated, not punished.

Random musings:

Gotta give her a couple of points for knowing the word maquette (which I had to google).

For those who are concerned about the school system stifling her, think of this as just one of many adverse events she will have to suffer through in order to nurture her creative genius.
