No you are not the worst. Not by a long shot!

Actually, “Amanda the Great” is right up there with Jimmy Johnson’s “Arlo and Janis” and Pat Brady’s own writing in “Rose Is Rose”—pithy, so literate in their ways, funny, probing—oh, I could go on! One of the best. It’s wonderful! (And never abusive, and that one can’t say about some other cartoons.) It shows such awareness as in Percy Crosby’s “Skippy” (what a cartoon!) and in Sparky Schulz’s “Peanuts.” There, I said it. Ms. El-Dweek will know what I mean.

Hmmm. It still seems to be a cartoon. And Amanda is wearing the same shirt from the “lost in thought” sequence this past week. I’d say it counts.

Actually, ATG has content this morning. Several other strips that usually have Sunday content don’t. Anybody else notice this?

Talent contests are always subjective. If I were a judge, you’d get my vote!

In my book ATG is far from the worst. In fact it’s the first (and sometimes ONLY) cartoon I read on a daily basis anymore out of a long long list. You’d get my vote any day.

There are so many talented cartoonist. Not all will receive the acknowledgement they so richly deserve. I will always read ATG as long as it remains. I hope that will be long laugh filled while. ❤️
