Never ever ever hire friends or family, it only leads to grief for both parties!

I figured old Ronnie, knowing Andy, wouldn’t even bother to offer him a job.

Old Ronnie knows how hard Andy worked in class, so it would be a definite “No way, mate!”

Is Flo actually surprised?

Ronnie is no fool, unlike some of his ex-schoolmates.

Didn’t you hear, Flo? The owner is good ole Ronnie Roberts. He KNOWS Andy. Here, let me put it another way, Flo. You know Andy. Would YOU hire him?

Enough said. Andy was smart for not even asking.

Andy’s hoping to meet Ronnie later and maybe cadge a free pint. Good networking.

You’ll notice that good old Ronnie Roberts didn’t offer Andy a job.

After Andy caught him up on what he’s be up to since school, he probably wouldn’t get the job anyway.

Ronnie Roberts knows better than to give Andy a job.

Like Ronnie would’ve hired Andy anyway. You deserve what you get when you hire family or friends, after all it’s not as if you didn’t know what you were getting.

The man probably remembered Andy owes him money, too.
