    The signal is from Xaxos.

VahLintan will have to go to the Azores.

Which according to cultists is the last remnant of Atlantis anyway.

Nice conglomeration of architectural styles in the first pane. I see the vacuum tube is a prominent part of their technology, must account for the music. I prefer Bob Wills and his Texas Playboys myself. Given the future/past tense, would that not be the Great Was not Was?

So why would you think VahLintan would be going to the Azores, with his ability to bend time and space and all? I forsee reincarnations around the bend.

    “…Whatever…”

My first guffaw of the day.

“Deep within my heart lies a memory, my Rose, my Rose of San Antone…”

I’d always assumed that the Atlantis myth evolved from the culture the Egyptians called the “Sea People” (the Minoans), who vanished with the eruption of Santorini…

    ‘Course, I could be wrong.

    “…ah, play it, Leroy…”

I predict Xaxos will wind up with the cowboys via Atlantis.

This is where Time Traveling Sandy’s Trainer tells Vahlintan to go back in time and convince Beethoven to write some future cowboy songs.

Mr. Was? Mr. Am in the past? The other guy looks like Mr. Drang.

Dare we hope that strange signal is an SOS from the Asp and Punjab?

With this time travel bit, Annie is morphing into Ali Oop. The guy with the crown looks a lot like King Guz. Next: Oop meets Punjap and The Asp.

He looks like Mr. Am to me, even with the fancy tense-shift of his name. So that’s how Annie will get dragged into this.

Annie once traveled in the past to Atlantis, where she met several characters that parallel some of her acquaintances. I forgot who Vah-lin-tan parallels.

Vah-lin-tan’s time travel gadgetry was inspired by the controls of Dr. Who TARDIS:

OH NO, not Vah-lin-tan and his glitchy time machine AGAIN!! :s

For those who haven’t been following earlier storylines: yeah, Mr. Was is the past version of Mr. Am. He lives in the ancient Atlantis, but due to all the time travelling he is apt to refer to future events as past. He has some control over time himself (he keeps rewinding the period before the fall of Atlantis), but what usually gets people (and mainly Annie) in trouble around him is Vah-lin-tan’s time machine, which is highly prone to dangerously unpredictable malfunctions.

With all these wacky storylines coming together here, there is probably some epic fun in the works. Stay tuned! :)

Very nice plot twist. And I like that the Atlantians are into cowboy music, very cool.

A great station for country, western, blues, bluegrass and anything else not on the main stream. In other words no pop. But you just might hear anything else. It’s from Freedom, CA so it’s run by old hippies, they’re great. I discovered them when I was stationed near Monterey and being able to listen to them on the internet is one more reason to thank it’s inventor, the Reverand Albert Gore, Jr.

Well, today’s comic seems totally non sequitur, but then again, so is Atlantis.
