Obviously, he doesn’t live in the north. I am in Oklahoma. And the sun didn’t come up until 7A. At 5:45 A it would still be dark. If he lived farther north the sun would be even later.
I heard my outdoor cats talking on the porch this morning; “Why is breakfast late…?” “Something about time travel.” “I hope they went back to last Thursday and didn’t buy that stupid liver pate’!”
Zen. Find the rhythm of your surroundings. Use your power to participate gladly. Conflict is born in the restless, dissatisfied womb. When all around you shifts your balance, ride the current, regain your legs and captain your voyage. You can’t change the world today, but you can affect the world of tomorrow. I love you.
“We should go on eastern time.”.Nothing stops you. Sometimes individual cities near the line opt to be on the time standard of the other side. You don’t even have to pay any attention to standard time, you are free to use it or not use it. It is just the official time.
“So I rushed, rushed, rushed and showed up at church 2 hours early!”Good one, John. Sounds like something I might do. However, in this house of Sleeping Beauties, none of us has gotten around to resetting the clocks yet, as of 8:17 p. m. Only the computer has it straight. I did manage to get to church on time – figured it wouldn’t be too good a form if I got to church late as per usual, when I had an extra hour to get ready.
Fortunately for me, I have only one wristwatch and a few wall clocks I need to reset; my service watch, my cell phones, my DISH receivers, and even the alarm clock in the bedroom automatically set themselves…although, strangely, the alarm clock doesn’t reset until it reaches 3AM instead of 2AM. Same thing coming and going. Now, the Audubon clock we were given can’t just be set back an hour — because of the bird calls on the clock, I have to set the clock forward 11 hours! It’s nuts? OTOH, I’m glad I don’t own a clock shop.

Glad the time change is here, that extra hour of sunlight every day was making my lawn grow too much………….

Now that the sun sets sooner, maybe it will slow down global warming.

I’m REALLY glad to get this hour of sleep back . . . I’ve been tired since March.

To get to Eastern Time, you would have to go through Indiana, and they’re not happy about the time situation at all.

Now that there is more Daylight Savings Time than Standard Time, Standard Time is sub-standard.

Why does setting the clock back make the weather turn colder every year?

I’m retired and older than dirt. An hour one way or another doesn’t matter any more.

I’d go the other way, CK. DST doesn’t do as much for people or systems as it’s touted to do.
