Many of us men have close female friends as confidants as well, Janis. Male – male friendships don’t tend to be like that.

It’s called a drinkin’ buddy, and you may not like it much…..

A lot of spouses don’t want ANY friends horning in.

Guys don’t roll that way. We have, to borrow a line from Harry Potter, the emotional depth of a teaspoon.

So, have they ‘tweaked’ Robin’s hair so it isn’t so Janis-y?

Janis need only buy him a set of golf clubs and 10 hours with the Pro and she will never see him again after 8:30 AM to sunset on weekends.

There has got to be a better way to say that.

Fishing gear works almost as well. Speaking of which, what ever happened to that very nice 2 masted schooner?

So, another question, has it ever been established if Robin is married? If so, perhaps Robin’s husband needs a “drinkin’ buddy” and Arlo might fit the bill?

Emotional shallowness, emotional depth – they come in all genders.

Wonder if Robin and Janis will find out down the road that they’re twins separated at birth – or related in some other way?

Not all guys need someone to “Hang out” with. I much prefer my own company when I’m not with my wife. That or my Great Pyrenees, Gunther.

I have a girlfriend, whom I have known since before hubby and I got married. Our grandson has a friend he’s know since he was born; they went to school together, lived together during college and work for the same company.
Hubby has often expressed his envy of both of us. He had high school friends, and might have been able to keep them, but he moved 800 miles away when he graduated, and things just fizzled out.

Careful what you wish for..

Men are pretty stunted when it comes to interpersonal relationships. Wait until Arlo gets jealous of the new friend. And then Janice is without someone to talk too, becasue men “don’t like to talk.” It’s a “dog in the manger” syndrome — I can’t/won’t givey you what you need to be happy, but I don’t want you to find it elsewhere…

Better yet…..Arlo could have a girlfriend!
