Arlo, stick to baseball, until the college football season begins, then you and Janis candidate make your non-monetary bets. Wink , wink.

I always use commercial breaks for anything but watching the commercial. If it’s something clever, it will be on again!

Madison Avenue wins again.

Interesting, the different products advertised with different sports. Financial services and business aimed services an tennis and golf. Beer and pickup trucks on NASCAR and NFL. I really keep track of it all.

Golf in general makes me feel inferior monetarily. However, it has something that no other sport has. It’s even more boring to watch than soccer.

If the ads were making you feel down, use some private jet timeshare mileage and fly to your island resort.

I dumped TV service a few weeks ago — no regrets — but always muted commercials when I had it.

I’ve had to dump cable TV as it was too expensive and mostly idiotic shows. I now pay for the one local CBS station so I can keep up with local events. I now use AppleTV for entertainment.

Time for Janis to provide a little ego stroking!

That’s better than the commercials during the local and national network news broadcasts. Stair-lifts, scooters, walk-in tubs, funeral insurance.

As Samuel Clemens said, golf is a good walk spoiled.

A golf programme came on, but i turned it off and went outside to watch the grass growing.

Then there are the commercials that are so arty and obtuse, you don’t even know what is being advertised!

Font: Those Ads get the awards; I would think they would give the awards to ads that they can prove that sold the most product!

There are good ways to feel like a loser and better ways. But the best way is to play a round of golf.

Watching golf on Telly? As if actually playing golf isn’t boring enough?

That’s what the “mute” button is for, ours is practically worn out.

Golf and Tennis are sports that are played by, popular with, and watched by those who are 1%s (those making $100K and up) and this includes media executives and advertisers who want to sell to them. While they don’t have the big numbers of viewers those they do have more disposable income. Hence the TV coverage. This is also why Soccer is growing in popularity.
