I’m not sure I get this one. Was his throw short, and she got to it in plenty of time? Or did he throw it, and she ambled over and picked it up out of the bushes? And why is she telling him she’ll go long after she has the ball? Clearly it has something to do with his arm, but it’s not clear to me… But I was never very athletic! :-) Or astute in general. But I’d really rather not have any stutes anyway.

Crossing pattern, not deep. Bursitis and a torn rotator cuff.

Janis knows that Arlo’s idea of long is seldom her idea of long, but today it was. Such is life.

Janis wants to see how far she has to run. Apparently not too far.

‘Throw it first’?! Was she doubting his obvious athletic ability?

Worse part for Arlo is that she caught that one before it hit the ground.

I think this a spoof on a peanuts cartoon where the ball goes straight to Lucy. Am I imagining?……

Oh the sadness of thinking I can still throw long an can’t make it past 30 yards w/o pain.

The best way to warm up is in a hot tub.

“And you can keep your hands off.”
“It’s ‘hand-offs’.”
“Is it?”
formathe almost 3 years ago
She needed to see what ‘long’ really was first.

I see Arlo holding his arm, to quote Toby Keith, "I ain’t as good as I once was, but I’m as good once
As I ever was. . .:

She doesn’t want to go that long. So, one more time with feeling. Show her you’ve still got it.

“Long” correlates inversely with “old”.
