I had a Garfield with suction cup feet! He was dressed like a maid holding a dustcloth and a sign that said “I don’t do windows”. It was in a side window in the car until I forgot to remove it before selling it.
My parents had a Garfield suction cup on the rear window of their truck behind the driver’s seat. It saved my mom from having a severe head injury when she got rear-ended at a stop light.
Polaroids are for sale again, $700! Don’t know why anyone would want one for that price and the review wasn’t pleased with the film developing either. You’d think after all these years that would be the least of the problems.
My father was a commercial illustrator, and back in the 70s he did a lot of work for an ad agency that had Polaroid as a client. All the art was done old-school back then…hand-illustrated, no computers…and the Polaroid folks sent him one of every camera they made, for reference, and a GIANT box of film packs, just for fun…and boy did we have fun! That’s why half of our family photos are Polaroids!
Never had a Polaroid either – and my dad seemed to collect cameras. When we went on family trips (in the car of course) in the 1960s his cameras had their own suitcase. He had duplicate cameras with black and white film in one camera and color film in the other – plus one movie camera. I presume my middle sister has the photos as she is the one who took apart the family home when mom had to move to assisted living.

would have been better if Janis pulled out 8 track tapes instead of cassette tapes

Only drug dealers had those giant cell phones, why would Arlo have had one?

I wonder if Arlo and Janis will be placing their “vintage” items up for sale on an auction site?

Those old cameras have a lot of parts for tinkerers and amateur scientists. Motors, mirrors, electronic components…

Put them on EBay! Don’t throw those memorabilia away!

We never had a Polaroid camera, but we did accumulate quite a few cassette tapes. I still have all of them and play them occasionally.

I don’t understand all this effort on Arlo’s part in finding polaroids that Janis will destroy a moment later.

Polaroid’s most popular model was called “The Swinger.”

Keep the Garfield, Phone can’t be used anymore, if you still have a deck, keep the tapes. Polaroid was making a comeback.

I’d take that Garfield.
