My wife and I are on a bumpy roller coaster right now with life.

Kim Simmons (member of Savoy Brown) exploited the same play on the word “progress” on a cut (Hernando’s Hideaway?) on the “A Step Further” album.

kind of wish they would carry on with the story line, even on Sundays

Sometimes progress is really just egress.

There’s a couple named Janis and Arlo,

and he still thinks she’s built like Harlow.

They’ve gone on a ride, and not to be snide,

but I think they will end up in Fargo…

A little commentary on the story arc which continues in the following weeks . The cautious start of the new adventure, anticipation of what is ahead, building to the peak, and finally the rush. How will they react as they step from the ride?

Life is like a roller coaster. I just wish the downs were all a little smoother rather than a hard fast drop and the rise faster than a long, slow, and sometimes painful climb.

There you have it, context is very important.

Reminds me of Calvin and Hobbes …“Let’s go exploring”.

English can be weird. It can be understood through tough thorough thought, though.

“Progressive” means going in all the wrong directions for all the wrong reasons.
