I don’t know Arlo. I always thought that had something to do with the Egyptians.

There was never a time that wasn’t the golden age of cats.

The 3 cat vids that have stayed in my memory are: 1) A bird dive-bombing a cat, pecking its butt, and the cat flipping over in the air; 2) A cat sneaking up on the video-taker. Each time the camera swings back, the cat is frozen, but closer (like a Weeping Angel!); and 3) The absolute cutest I have ever seen, a kitten that reacts to the video-taker’s hand suddenly spreading out by also spreading out its “arms”…

I would leave A&J if it weren’t for the very occasional appearances of Luddie.

The ancient Egyptians revered cats as gods. Cats have never forgotten that.

The difference between dogs and cats:

Dogs: They feed me, care for me, love me. They must be Gods.

Cats: They feed me, care for me, love me. I must be a God.

hmm… today’s pretty good, but in some ancient civilizations (Egypt leaps to mind) cats were treated as actual deities

One of the golden ages. Egypt has been mentioned quite a bit in the comments, but we also have the ‘Morris’ years which, for better or for worse begat the ‘Meow Meow’ song.

I think the golden age was ancient Egypt. This is the silver age.

The golden age of cats was in ancient Egypt, the goddess Bast.
