My wife and I were at a restaurant the other day. As we sat there, a little girl about 5 years old and a woman, who I presume was her mother were heading towards the ladies’ room. The girl was skipping. She must have launched herself into the air about a quarter of her body length with each stride.
I am now going to caveat my original sentence with, “for a man of my age.”

Too right. I miss working out in the weight room and having sore muscles the next day. I really miss working.

If you can even remember your youth, I guess it’s a plus, Aunty.

Back then, sore muscles; now sprained muscles. Back then, paid holiday and vacation days, and relaxation; now, unpaid Honey-do days.

I consider myself to be in great physical shape.

I miss my wife who passed Mar 21. Married Feb 1968. I miss nothing else about youth days.

While many complain about work and a job, it does often give them a sense of purpose.
