Then Darryl spots the 6 month old PB&J sandwich with gray fuzzies. “Ah ha, here’s the monster! What you heard was the mold growing.”

The last panel is absolutely hilarious! Hammie’s arms and legs even need to stretch to hold around Darryl’s nose!

Hammie sometimes magically shrinks to the size of Darryl’s head. Compare with the strip of November 9, 2006.

Must be the closet monsters in Pasquale’s closet?

What Hammie probably heard was some of that mess falling from the top of the pile. As an aside (and I thought of this when there was a daily strip in the Rose comic about Pasquale’s closet monsters) does anyone remember the 1985 Shadow Man episode of the New Twilight Zone?
