We wouldn’t lose the Ides of March or the Ides of any month (all months have an Ides). According to the Romans, the Ides was the day before the month’s midpoint. In Wiley’s new system, the Ides would fall on the 7th of each month.
This wouldn’t work. First of all, it only comes out to 364 days in the year. Second, if every month stopped at 14, we’d never have Halloween, Thanksgiving, or Christmas. Jenny Craig would never allow that!

In retrospect, Caesar would likely have done better without March 15.

Usually April 30 up here. But this year May 2 as April 30 was a Saturday. And wasn’t it April 18th for you down there this year?
