I loved playing music – I took guitar lessons from the local recreation department and piano lessons from a very patient, nice teacher.
See, I am tone deaf. My husband was sure he could teach me to recognize songs when they are played and not sung as when they were sung I would use the lyrics to recognize them, but if no singing often cannot identify the song.
We do 18th century reenacting and he felt I sound learn a certain song which was used an anthem back then. (Not any of the common songs which date back to the period.) So when someone played the song at an event he would ask me what it was. I realized that he ONLY asked what a song was when it was THAT song. So whenever he asked me and we were at an event I just started naming that song. He though he had done it and I could recognize the song. Then one day something was being played and he asked me what song it was – he found out about my trick about always saying that song as he always asked when it was that song as it was NOT that song.

Baldo shouldn’t crush her dreams. She could end up being the next Selena or Taylor Swift and she could help pay to restore his car

I don’t believe today’s strip is serious, but if it were:
Baldo, if you use that on her guitar, she could also use it on your car.

Baldo think, do you really want Tia Carmen to slap an embargo on your empanada supply should you go through with that?
